Patrick Metdepenninghen

Board Member

Patrick holds a degree in Financial and Commercial Science from EHSAL in Belgium, a Master’s degree in Finance from Cooremans Business School in Belgium and degrees in Taxation Law and Auditing. He has also completed the EPGC Program at Stanford Business School, USA.

Patrick has been on the Board of Grana International SA since 1989. He was previously a tax and law consultant, and assisted the Fogelberg family in setting up the company in 1987. Later Patrick joined Grana International in charge of consultancy and financing, and was made MD at the beginning of the 1990s.

Patrick was involved in the formation of Shurgard Europe together with Michael and Åke. He was appointed President for the start-up period and remained Executive Director until 2003, in charge of financial affairs. During this period Patrick was involved in arranging financing for the business to the extent of around 1.6 billion Euros.

Since 2004, Patrick has been a ‘business angel’, and is actively
involved in the BAMS Angel Fund.
