Åke Fogelberg

Board member

Åke holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (specialising in road and water construction) from Chalmers Technical University and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg.

Åke has more than 35 years’ experience in the construction and real estate industries in Sweden, in Europe and in the US, both as owner and as investor.

He started his first real estate company in 1982 and invested in real estate projects in Sweden. In 1985, the company, together with five publicly listed Swedish companies, acquired a company with office buildings, hotels and land in Seattle, USA. Åke and his family then moved to Seattle to be part of the company’s management and development. After a few years, the company was sold and Åke formed Grana International in Brussels, Belgium.

Åke has been MD of Grana since 1987 and more recently, Chairman of
the Board. Grana has been involved in and has invested in various real
estate projects in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Åke was an active Board member of Shurgard Europe for more than ten years.
